Heart for Kids Inspirational Cards: This month is the fourth consecutive February we are celebrating Heart for Kids Month. It is time to come together as a community to create inspirational heart-shaped messages for children and families in our program. The HEART shaped greeting will be shared in weekly food baskets, used as decorations throughout our building, and passed out during activities all month long including our Valentine’s party. Please join us in sharing words of encouragement by creating and mailing or dropping off your cards to Attn: Ann Erickson, Family Promise of Tualatin Valley, 11460 SW Pacific Hwy., Tigard, OR  97223. This is a wonderful group activity for youth groups, women’s groups, social clubs, etc. Please reach out to Gina at Ann@familypromiseoftv.org with any questions.

Valentine’s Party Assistants, Bakers, and Crafters: We are seeking volunteers to contribute to our Valentine’s Party. Whether you are interested in preparing and sharing a craft, providing a snack related project, leading an activity that we are furnishing or donating supplies, we welcome your participation. Please reach out to Ann if you would like to help.  

For families experiencing homelessness and residing in small shelter rooms, Spring Break can be stressful, as budgets for activities are tight, leaving most unable to do something special for spring break. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of many advocates, last year families in our shelter program enjoyed our stay and play spring break with activities onsite here at Bridge to Home.

This year we are asking for your support to fund educational and exciting experiences that we will bring directly to Bridge to Home. Offering a range of activities at our shelter allows access for all guests and removes the transportation barrier. Volunteer led activities are encouraged. If you are interested in leading an activity, please reach out to Ann.
