2026 Holiday Toy Drive

Family Promise of Tualatin Valley’s Toy Drive Details 2026

Participating in Family Promise's Annual Toy Drive

Thank you for considering participating in Family Promise of Tualatin Valley's annual toy drive! Toy donations have a profound impact on the families we serve, bringing joy and comfort to children who may be facing a difficult holiday season. For families in shelter, these gifts mean so much more than toys—they represent hope, kindness, and the support of a caring community. Our toy distribution will take place on December 17th and 18th, ensuring every child has a special gift to open this holiday season.

How You Can Help Spread the Word

Attached is a copy of our toy drive flier. Feel free to print, email, or post it anywhere. Sharing this throughout the community helps tremendously!

Gift Suggestions and Guidelines

We welcome toys for children of all ages, and while we don’t require specific items, we ask that all toys be new, unwrapped, and in their original packaging. If you'd prefer to shop online, you can order directly from our Amazon wishlist. Be sure to include your name on the gift note so we can acknowledge your generosity! Items ordered from the wishlist are delivered directly to A Bridge to Home, saving you the trip.

We have a variety of ages at A Bridge to Home, so a wide range of gifts are needed. Older kids and teenagers tend to prefer gift cards, with Amazon, Fred Meyer, Roblox, Google Play, and McDonald's being especially popular. Please donated gift cards in $10 or $25 increments. Teen gift ideas also include hoodies, beanies, wireless phone chargers, headphones, and bluetooth speakers. To keep rooms tidy, please avoid especially messy toys like sand or slime. Legos, LeapFrog toys, Melissa and Doug toys, Squishmallows, are always very popular toys for younger kids. We cannot accept any toy guns such as nerf guns.

Any toys and gift cards that aren’t distributed during Christmas will be used in our birthday program throughout the year, helping keep our birthday room stocked with a variety of options.

Toy Drop-Off Details

We kindly ask that toys be dropped off at 11460 SW Pacific Hwy, Tigard, OR 97223 by December 15th. While we will happily accept toys even after this date (and after Christmas), having them by the 15th allows us time to sort and organize. If you're dropping off a large number of toys, please let us know (marisa@familypromiseoftv.org) a day or two in advance so we can prepare accordingly. If you are only dropping off a small number of toys, they can be dropped off any time Monday - Friday between 10am and 6pm.

Gift Distribution & Wrapping

Our toy distribution event will take place on December 17th and 18th, and we’d love to have your help! We will also be wrapping gifts at the distribution. We are in need of gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, gift tags, Sharpies, and scissors. Donating any of these supplies would be greatly appreciated and will make wrapping the presents easier for our volunteers.

If you’re interested in volunteering during the distribution, please reach out to Ann at Ann@familypromiseoftv.org.

If you have additional questions about FPTV’s annual toy drive, please contact our Administrative Special Projects Manager, Marisa Langdahl, at marisa@familypromiseoftv.org or 971-454-8011.
