Shelter
Bridge to Home
Bridge to Home is the heart of FPTV. Thanks to generous grants from the State of Oregon, Washington County, and City of Tigard, we were able to purchase our own building in 2023, a long-time dream of ours. Having our own space has enabled us to expand our shelter services, grow our family enrichment programming, and increase partnerships with community service providers.
Through Bridge to Home, we house up to 70 households at a time—both families and individuals. While in program, each household receives weekly food support and individualized case management with housing navigation services aimed at addressing barriers to rehousing and achieving long-term, stable housing.

Food Support at Bridge to Home
Food Support
Food is where the heart is, and our volunteers have done an incredible job adding warmth and delight through meals for our guests. In addition to providing weekly food deliveries to families in this program, volunteers established and run our on-site food (and pet food) pantry.
On-site commercial kitchen
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to renovate Bridge to Home to meet our unique needs, including providing warm meal service for the families in shelter. Starting in summer of 2025, we are officially cooking our meals in our own freshly renovated commercial kitchen! Volunteers work alongside Chef Eric to prepare and serve these meals.
Meet Chef Eric
Eric, FPTV’s kitchen manager, does an incredible job fusing together the food donations we receive, along with fresh ingredients and a dash of ingenuity, to create delicious balanced meals for our guests. Eric prioritizes providing culturally appropriate meals and food items for our guests to ensure they are not only fed, but nourished.
Family dining room
Our renovation also included a new, spacious dining room for our guests to eat and gather with each other over a warm meal.
This space also hosts events like our beloved bing nights. Winners take home prizes like toys or gift cards, which add a little extra joy and help create lasting memories for families at Bridge to Home.
