Rental Assistance Application Information :

Eligibility:

  • Live in Washington County

  • Owe past due rent, utilities, or both

  • Low-income families or individuals

  • People who are currently housed or unhoused

  • Applicant cannot be enrolled in a rent assistance program

  • If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact us at help@familypromiseoftv.org or (503)427-2768.

Required documents (we will request these when we begin processing your application):

  • Signed lease

  • Official ledger with proof of balance owed

  • Utility bill proving past due balance

  • Property W-9 (we will request this from the leasing team)

  • Income documents (pay stubs)

  • Other requirements based on eligibility

Other information:

  • Payments can be made to property owners, property management, or collections agencies

  • Assistance cannot be used for trash, parking, renter’s insurance, cleaning charges.

  • Other restrictions may apply

  • Assistance cannot be used for current or future rent or utilities

  • Assistance can pay up to 6 months of past due rent and 6 months of past due utilities

Please note: As part of the Washington County Coordinated Entry system, FPTV uses the county’s Homeless Management Information System – also known as HMIS – to share information with other agencies in the county to provide the necessary assistance. Read more here.
