Volunteer with Family Promise of Tualatin Valley
Family Promise of Tualatin Valley makes volunteering easy! I often talk about FPTV with friends who I think might like to add volunteering to their life.”

Volunteers are a vital and vibrant part of our mission to end homelessness, one family at a time. Whether you're serving meals to families staying with us, helping organize donations, or holding space for family togetherness at one of our Bingo Nights, we appreciate all that you do!
Check out our volunteer calendar for opportunities to get involved:
Individuals and Families
Looking for a way to contribute to the community? Want to enjoy family nights that give something back?
We invite individual volunteers and families to check out our volunteer opportunities here.
Families with kids younger than 12 should contact us first to determine the best way to get involved.
We need volunteers to:
Prepare, serve, and distribute meals and groceries as part of our kitchen or food pantry team
Help out at our after school program
Help support family time at events like Bingo Night, Movie Night, or holiday parties
Group volunteering
Work groups, church or civic groups, and youth groups are all welcome to contact our volunteer coordinator using the “get in touch” form below to plan a service project. Past examples include:
Helping families feel cared for by assisting with interior decorating, tidying and organizing, or grounds maintenance
Bringing fun energy to kids in shelter with a youth group-led playtime
Helping make sure families have access to nutritious and convenient lunches on days off school by assembling sack lunches
Volunteer from home
Whether a donation drive or a small group activity, there are many ways to help Family Promise of Tualatin Valley from within your community! Please get in touch using the form below to coordinate your service.
Some ideas for ways to help from home:
Help support our monthly donation drive
Sweeten up our programming with home-baked cookies or support our kitchen staff with a large dessert for meal service
Assemble kits for families, such as kids’ activity kits for days off school, or pet care packages with leashes, treats, and pet toys

Thank you to our food partners!
We are grateful to the amazing volunteers from these congregations who provide dedicated food support to our guests in shelter. Each week, they buy food based on our guests' personalized shopping lists, then deliver the food directly to the shelter. Their dedicated support has freed up our case managers' time and fueled connections across our communities. We couldn't do it without you.
