Hear directly from our guests about what FPTV means to them.

“After I entered shelter, I was able to get back to work, raise my credit score, make a budget, and plan ahead for rent payments. The weekly food delivery made it easy for me to focus on work and finding an apartment within my budget. The weekly case management sessions kept me accountable to my to-do list each week. FPTV made it easy for me to ask for help.”

“I was sitting in the Walmart parking lot, pretty overwhelmed and down because I didn’t know what was coming next…I didn’t know where we were going to sleep that night. Hearing a little bit about Family Promise, I didn’t hesitate to call, and I’m glad I did, because it was that bridge that we needed. We were welcomed with love and open arms.”

— Ashley

“The mental and emotional strain going through long-term homelessness takes its toll on you. Right from the start, FPTV staff were welcoming, attentive, solution-driven and accommodating. I was provided the necessities to not just survive, but to feel protected, secure, and hopeful with a plan, goals and FPTV’s ongoing support for my success. It’s changed my life and I am forever grateful.”

— Nora

“One day I got a call from Family Promise…that’s how it started. They helped us, coached us as mentors, provided their time, got us healthcare. Now, I’m on my feet, and I’m going to utilize all the resources they showed me, and my family and I are going to move on. Thank you!”

How is FPTV funded? FPTV's funding comes from government contracts through the cities we work with, Washington County, and the State of Oregon. The support we receive from individual community members, faith communities, local businesses, and family foundations allows us to provide the wrap-around services that define FPTV. It absolutely takes a village. While we have always had our books regularly reviewed by a CPA, 2021 marks the first year of an external audit.
